The human model was accurately measured for anatomical proportion and scaled to one third its original size in these figurative clay studies. The core anatomy was modeled from the armature outward as an observational methodology. In one case the folds of clothing were selectively places for a loose likeness, while another piece exhibits the figure's sense of weight in an armchair.
